Aleksandr Krasnov — Bass-Baritone

Date of Birth: 17.08.1984

Aleksandr graduated from the Ural State Conservatory and has been a guest soloist at Mikhailovsky Theatre, Chelyabinsk Opera House and Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theatre, Mariinsky Theatre St Petersburg, Bolshoi Theatre Moscow. In 2012  he joined the soloists' ensemble of Ekaterinburg State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre.

He also collaborated with the Latvian National Opera, Estonian National Opera, Palm Beach Opera,Deutsche Oper Berlin, Deutsche Oper am Rhein.

Aleksandr is the winner of the 2014 Bravo award for best male role in opera for his role of Iago in Giuseppe Verdi’s Otello. In 2015 Alexander was nominated two times on the Russian National Theatre Award “Golden Mask” for the Best Man’s Role Performance (Jago in Verdi’s Otello and Hollander in Wagner’s Flying Dutchman).
